Jeries Babish
is a Palestinian musician, producer and songwriter. Born and raised in Palestine, his musical journey began at a young age, shaped by a deep passion for storytelling through sound. His work blends Western and Middle Eastern influences, creating a distinct musical style that stands out in today's global music scene. Jeries founded the rock band Mafar, known for its socially and politically conscious lyrics. His ability to fuse rock elements with traditional Arabic motifs has defined his sound and earned him recognition across various audiences.
Master’s in Audio Engineering at Berklee Valencia, Jeries is focused on refining his skills in sound design, mixing, and mastering, as well as exploring Max MSP, electronic production, and experimental sound manipulation. His technical expertise and innovative approach to production make him a sought-after collaborator in the industry.
Jeries' dedication to music has earned him second place at the Arab Youth Music Festival in Morocco, along with other accolades recognizing his contributions to the industry.

Technical Expertise
Jeries has extensive experience in analog and digital recording, microphone techniques, reamping, and spatial audio. His hands-on work includes microphone shootouts, live and studio recording, and resampling techniques. He has also contributed to the development of a sample library featuring duduk, guitar, vocal, and ney recordings.
Work as a Director & Editor
Jeries worked as a director and video editor for Palestine TV for three years, where he directed and edited several entertainment shows. With over eight years of experience in media production, he has collaborated with numerous media production companies and worked as a freelance media provider. One of his notable works is the show “Mishwar Sitti,” which aired on Alaraby TV.
In addition to his television work, Jeries produced, directed, edited, colored, wrote, composed, and handled the lyrics for the groundbreaking album series “Visa” for his band Mafar. This 10-episode series was the first of its kind in the Middle East, setting a new standard for music-driven storytelling in the region.
His filmmaking talent was further recognized when he won First Prize for Best Short Film Editing at the Red Sea International Film Festival for the film Home, directed by Haya Yasmeen and shot by director of photography Ashraf Dowani.
This prestigious award acknowledged his outstanding video editing and sound design, highlighting his artistic vision and storytelling ability.
He worked on the sound design for a dance scene in the film Gaza Bride 17, directed by Waseem Khair and produced by Roger Waters. The film blends movement and narrative to reflect themes of resistance and resilience, with his contribution adding emotional depth and texture to a pivotal moment in the story.
